We repair rear glass window assembly's!

Your soft top may be in good condition, have your rear glass window assembly replaced.  Save money on replacing a soft top!

All convertibles are not built the same.  Some convertible tops are a two piece unit.  When it's a two piece soft top it gives you options, you are able to replace the window assembly only. 

Example a 2004 Mustang convertible is a two piece convertible top.  If you break the back glass we are able to install a new back glass assembly, the soft top is able to be re-used. 

We call the rear window a assembly because most back windows are attached to material.  We have several customers who ask my back glass is broken why is it so much for a new window?  Simply the back glass being replaced often means the entire rear assembly of the convertible top needs to be installed. 

The next time you look at a convertible top look at the back glass and you will see material attached to the bottom of glass and often you will see the same materials to the right and left and above etc... 

Now going back to the illustration if the Mustang is a 2005 this is a one piece soft top.  In this situation your back glass is broken and in order to repair we will need to replace the entire roof or convertible top with a new back window etc...  In some cases foreign ie.. BMW the back glass if unbroken is transferred to the new soft top.

Please note replacing a glass window isn't an easy task, in order to replace, you usually have to remove the soft top, remove the damaged rear window, and then install the replacement window. 

For best results using a vehicle specific rear window assembly or using top quality materials is the best choice.  Saving money on materials is not a option it only makes your next repair that much sooner.
